I wish the uploaders of videos like this would actually provide some damn information in the description, in terms of *when* this was actually broadcast! It seems to be Top Gear around 1998-2000. 0:34 he mentions the car was made in 1990, then says today is "even 10 years later" meaning 2000. But the Vectra he's driving in the opening, finished production in early 1999. Why would he be driving a 1 year old car? If this is 2000, wouldn't he be driving the 2000 model Vectra?

And now in 2020 my Merc A200d with a bit of help from a remap, has 250bhp 380 lbs/ft torque 8sp dual clutch auto can do 0-60mph in 4.9 secs 55mpg. Makes the Lotus carlton look boring.

That somebody allow you to drive you this superrare car in this kind of bad weather conditions. Respekt for that

I had one of these cartons once all for about 8 hours. The next morning, you'd never would have believed I no longer owned it. What a beautiful, short-lived dream that was. Then it made me think ot getting old. And I realised if it still had my witts of mind I'd look back at life one last time and say what a beautiful dream this is

It's interesting how the market for these "hyper-cars" has changed over the decades. The glorious 90s trio was made in only a few dozen units and if you look now, the AMG ONE alone will be build 275 times.

Thanks for the upload! In Australia, GM's local branch, Holden, took this platform, lengthened and widened it, and used it as a VN Commodore. Holden's hotrod offshoot, HSV (owned by Tom Walkingshaw) made a Group A version with an injected 5litre V8. Contemporary road tests showed that the Vauxhall was the quickest, tho the mighty injected cast iron ohv wasn't disgraced. Those were the days 😁👍
